Bleach cleanup sparks the desire to advocate green-living!

I came across this  interesting story of a teen, through my Google alerts.

Prisoners cleaning the beach : Google Alerts

Through my google alerts, I came across this fantastic story of  inmate work crews from H.M. Northward Prison cleaning up some of North Side’s most popular spots, removing washed up seaweed and trash, and leaving the beach picture postcard perfect. They want to save the tourism industry and redirect the lives of some of their fellow people who made mistakes. According to the article, "The whole project is expected to take about three weeks, with teams of nine to 12 inmates working all day long to clear seaweed and other trash from the beach. When it’s all finished, two miles of North Side beaches will be spic and span." They are working very hard towards their project.

Beach cleaning!

Through my Google alerts, I came across this exciting  story of how volunteers from the holiday lettings agency Classic Cottages cleaned up the Church Cove on the Lizard beach. They collected 18 bags of trash, which is a huge amount. Among the rubbish were flip-flops, dummies, rugs, wellies etc etc. They worked hard picking up trash and actually proved that nothing is impossible, it just takes a little effort and dedication.

"Clean the Beach:Pakistan Go Green".

The problem that I would like to solve using social media would be cleaning the beach. Our beach is badly polluted and there is always abundance of trash lying around, which not only destroys the scenic beauty but also causes harm to the marine life. The point that I want to convey through my campaign is that why pollute the beach when we can keep it clean. It does not take a lot of effort to throw our trash into the trash can rather than leaving it behind, on the beach. The positive outcome that I would want to achieve would be a cleaner beach. My target audience would be teenagers and the youth. The teenagers are the most active on social media and it would be great if the campaign could motivate them to come together to clean the beach and to try to keep it clean even in the future, by educating others about pollution and the harm that it causes. The motto would be, "Clean  the Beach:Pakistan Go Green". And one day probably, we will actually have a clean beach!
