Bleach cleanup sparks the desire to advocate green-living!

I came across this  interesting story of a teen, through my Google alerts.

Katelyn Keen, 16,a junior at Dana Hills High School and an 11-year Girl Scout Ambassador, says that it was a beach cleanup that she did a long time ago, that sparked her passion for educating children on environmental issues and responsible eco-friendly living. Keen holds the prestigious Gold Award through Girl Scouts of America, and she is set to release a children’s book designed to teach kids on how to live green through water preservation, recycling and gardening."Keen is preparing to present her book to the Girl Scouts of Orange County Council, sharing the research she has done in the area of ecology and explaining how she chose to address a need in her chosen field. She plans to offer her book to local organizations who emphasize educating children about ecology."
